ITMatrixHQ Terminal
Replay
Play back a past trading session across the terminal — pick a date, scrub, step and change speed, then return to live.
Replay runs a past session back through the views that support it, as if it were live. Start it with the replay chip in the header row on Matrix, Surface, Charts, Watchlist, Off-Exchange and Workspace. On a phone it is among the header actions. You can also type Replay yesterday in the command bar; it opens the most recent complete session (or today's, once it is under way).
The replay bar
| Control | Does |
|---|---|
| session | Pick the trading day to replay. |
| Jump to the open | Go to 09:30 ET. |
| Back / forward | Step 15 minutes or 1 minute. |
| Play / pause | Start or stop the clock. |
| Scrub track | Drag to any time. Regular hours are solid; pre- and after-hours are hatched. |
| Speed | 0.5×, 1×, 2×, 5× or 20×. At 1×, one minute of the session plays per second. Replay starts at 5×. On a phone the speeds fold into a menu. |
| ▶ Live | Leave replay and return to live data. |
Keys
Space plays and pauses; ← and → step one minute. They are ignored while a button, the date field or the scrub track has focus, so those keep their own keys. See Hotkeys.
